LOUISA COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Darius Jones, 41, of Warrenton, was convicted for Forcible Sodomy and Aggravated Sexual Battery of a five-year-old child with special needs. According to Commonwealth’s Attorney Rusty McGuire, Jones was on bond for similar charges from January 2023 and moved into a camper in Louisa County. The report said that Jones gained access to a five-year-old non-verbal special needs child on May 23, 2023. The nine-year-old sister of the victim walked in and saw the child being sexually abused by Jones. This resulted in the victim’s sister immediately telling her grandmother, who physically confronted Jones to save her granddaughter, according to the report. The Commonwealth’s Attorney said that the case would be difficult with a non-verbal victim, that is until the Department of Forensic Science returned a DNA certificate of analysis that determined the older sister’s statements and the drawing from the non-verbal victim as true.
