POLK COUNTY, Fla. (WWSB) – A woman was arrested Monday afternoon following a domestic disturbance in Orlando, in which she intentionally drove over a man who was holding an infant, injuring them both.

27-year old, Aaliyah Ross, is being held in the Orange County Jail after detectives from the Polk County Sheriff’s Office authorized an arrest warrant for Ross. She is being charged with aggravated child abuse, aggravated battery-domestic, negligent child abuse, battery-domestic, and leaving the scene of a crash with property damage.

The 25-year old male victim was treated and released from the hospital, but suffers bruising to his body and lungs. The 16-month old infant boy remains hospitalized with a broken left shoulder collar bone, multiple broken ribs, a partially collapsed lung, and abrasions and bruising on his body.

An argument escalated between Ross and the man, so she placed two other small children (4 years old and 6 months old) into her car, and got into the driver’s seat of a Toyota Corolla. The man picked up the infant and began to run away as Ross accelerated directly at the two victims, and ran them over before she crashed the vehicle into a trailer.

This was so senseless and both the man and the baby could have been killed. If someone is mad to the point the children don’t matter, please leave, do not agitate the situation by continuing to engage them. She deserves years upon years in prison. This had to be traumatizing for the babies in the car as well. Wishing a healthy and speedy recovery for the innocent baby.
